One of the appeals to the Lamar Educational Leadership program is that it is an online program. This allows me to juggle a full-time job and a family while enhancing my professional growth which will ultimately impact my career. However, I have found that I sometimes miss the opportunity to simply ask a question to another person or to listen and learn from the questions that others have. Consequently, it is beneficial to have the option to participate in the web conference or listen to the correspondence when my schedule does not allow for actual attendance. This webconference proved beneficial in providing clarification to assignment and program questions. In regards to the assignment, Dr. Mason walked us through the components of the Action Research Template and described the information that should be contained within each section of the draft report. This clarification was beneficial in knowing that we will be able to finalize this information in EDLD 5398. I am still in the process of completing the project and collecting the data, so this was a relief that there is still time for me to collect the data throughout the fall semester. As of now, I probably will not have a tremendous amount to write in my current action research draft report as I am still working on the research. I greatly appreciated the clarification about the 150 campus based hours and that a 150 word reflection is required for every activity. I definitely need to begin working on these reflections as I have not consistently been doing this. Also, I learned that since I have already completed ILD, then I need to upload my certificate into TK20. I am looking forward to hearing from Dr. Mason to see if she has template available for us to use for our Professional Development Plan. As previously stated, the information provided in this webconference was very beneficial.
